Artist Bio
Alberto Cordon has dedicated himself to the creation and organisation of cultural and artistic events, as well as the curation of urban art, since 2011. Although he has worked and experimented with various artistic disciplines, he currently works exclusively with photography, a medium he discovered under the tutelage of Teresa Rodríguez. He has also participated in training courses and workshops with, among others, Concha de la Rosa, David Jimenez, Txema Salvans, David Salcedo, Alex Llovet, Ricardo Cases, Estela de Castro, Rober Astorgano, Juanan Requena, Javier Vallhonrat, and Graciela Iturbide. He considers himself a conceptual artist. His photographic practice revolves around themes of roots, beginnings, the past, longing, memory, and the passage of time. He also draws inspiration from urban and rural landscapes, inhospitable spaces, rubble, and abandoned and ruined places. More recently, he has been drawn to urban environments and street photography, focusing on the everyday lives and routines of human beings. In recent years, his work has been presented in group exhibitions across Spain, as well as in France, Greece, Cyprus, and Peru. He has also held solo exhibitions in La Rioja.
