Artist Bio
Luca Giannini is a visual artist living between Rome and Sicily. After attending art courses at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, he has developed a series of projects that, through painting, sculpture, and photography, investigate the relationship between humanity and nature, the Mediterranean world with its myths and archetypes, migration, and environmental conflicts.
Statement
A STROLL TO THE FISHMONGER BEFORE THE STORM
Ortigia island, May 2021. In the salty, humid air that foretells a spring storm, my thoughts fading between the stones and the horizon, I walk along the Levante seafront to the market fishmonger for a slice of swordfish.
