WHERE MEMORY MOVES

We often think of photography as a way of freezing time, preserving a single moment exactly as it happened. Yet memory rarely works that way. Details soften, moments blur, while the emotions they carry remain.

Created on the shores of the Ionian Sea, this portrait series embraces movement as part of the image itself. Rather than pursuing perfect sharpness, I allowed motion to reveal what stillness often cannot. The wind, the sea and the fading Mediterranean light became part of each frame, shaping both its atmosphere and emotion.

These portraits are a reflection on the way we remember. A photograph can preserve appearance, but movement has the power to preserve feeling. Through these images, the Mediterranean becomes more than a place—it becomes an atmosphere where light, memory and emotion quietly intertwine.
