Manon Wertenbroek’s solo exhibition In guts and heads is now on view at Rose Easton in London until 25 April

The Swiss-Dutch artist presents a new series of leather and glycerin sculptures that explore the body, skin and emotional projection. Her work often investigates the tension between intimacy and discomfort, focusing on the fragile relationship between material and sensation.

For this exhibition, Wertenbroek uses leather injected with glycerin, creating works that remain wet and cold to the touch. The sculptures require continuous care, introducing a strange dynamic between vitality, decay, and bodily presence.
