Multidisciplinary artist Winnie Mo Rielly presents her first institutional solo exhibition, Infractuosité, at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris, June-July 2026.
Overview
For her first solo exhibition, Winnie Mo Rielly presents the immersive installation Infractuosité, through which she explores the relationship between the body, space, and photography. The artist combines documentation of fragments of her own body, transforming them into a sculptural installation. These elements overlap into a unified whole beyond the limitations of literal meaning, leaving space for viewers to reach their own conclusions and establish a relationship with the works through their senses and perception. Her works create an atmosphere of quiet tension in which Infractuosité does not offer a literal meaning, but instead becomes an experience in itself. The MEP gallery space thus becomes an ambiguous environment, where the exhibition as a whole leaves an impression of tension and intrigue. Each work becomes a story and an intimate world of its own, while at the same time leaving behind a sense of intrigue and ambiguity. In this way, the gallery space becomes an elusive environment in which movement creates a sense of uncertainty through the overlapping of reference points, where definitive identification remains unattainable and encourages questioning of its overall meaning. Through her works, the artist explores how the body can transcend its physical boundaries and establish a relationship with space, material, and photography. The essence of the exhibition is to carefully observe her works and allow them to speak for themselves.
The exhibition Infractuosité does not offer unambiguous or definitive answers, but instead invites visitors to move through the space, observe the works from different perspectives, and explore the relationship between the body, photography, and space.
